Hiring hours
Available for hire between the hours of 08:00-23:00 (Monday-Sunday).

Office hours
09:00-17:00 (Monday-Friday).  If you are unable to reach Kelane (who works part-time for WHVH), please send an e-mail or leave a message on the WHVH answering machine.  Alternatively, please use the E-mail Enquiry Form (on the "Contact Us" page).

Deposits
For children's parties, we ask for a small deposit of £25.00 in addition to the hire charge (but these can be paid together and the deposit does not need to be paid immediately to secure the booking).  The deposit will be returned by bank transfer after the party provided that no damage occurs during the hire and no additional cleaning, clearing up or sorting out is required after the party (this includes putting all tables and chairs away).  Whichever room is hired must be left in a clean, safe and tidy condition, ready for the next hirer - this is only fair to everyone.  WHVH may also withhold some or all of the deposit if the hirer is late leaving and deposits will be withheld if WHVH is left unlocked.  For all other bookings, WHVH reserves the right to charge a refundable deposit and this will be discussed with you at the time of the booking.

All three rooms are available for hire between the hours of 08:00-23:00 and the charge per hour is the same during these hours. WHVH does not charge more for evening or weekend hires as many other village halls do.  If you wish to discuss hiring outside the hours of 08:00-23:00, please contact the WHVH Administrator.  However, we are unlikely to permit a hire which ends later than 23:00 because WHVH is situated in the heart of the village with neighbours close by.

If you are planning a party and would like a longer booking than the standard 4 hour party booking, any additional hours (or part thereof) over and above the 4 hours will be charged at the standard hourly hire rate. The reason our party bookings are 4 hours (and you'll find most village halls offer the same) is because the majority of parties held at WHVH are for children's birthdays and parents generally need 1 hour to set up, 2 hours for the party and 1 hour for clearing up afterwards. We are happy to hire for longer than 4 hours for a party - it just needs to be mentioned at the time of booking please.

Please note: Owing to problems encountered with parties/celebrations for teenagers and adults, regrettably we no longer accept such bookings unless the hirer is personally known to either the WHVH Administrator or one of the WHVH Trustees and lives in the Horsleys.  Should you wish to hold such an event at WHVH, the WHVH Administrator would be happy to discuss a booking with you but the WHVH Trustees reserve the right to decline a booking for a party/celebration for teenagers and adults.
